Ripley’s Rug Revival System™
“The Cleaning Process”
- PRE-INSPECTION:
Each rug is carefully examined and photographed. We are looking for damage, unstable dyes, stains or other problems that may require special treatment. Fragile areas are noted and may be stabilized to protect them during the cleaning process. - DYE-BLEED TEST:
Rugs are tested for dye bleed to determine the best wash method and chemistry. - RUG DUSTING:
Rugs are ‘dusted’ mechanically to remove as much dry soil as possible before cleaning begins. - PRE-TREATMENTS:
Urine odors, stains and problem spots are pre-treated if necessary. A sanitizing treatment is applied when dealing with water damaged or contaminated rugs. - RIPLEY’S UNIQUE ►FOUNDATION FIBER FLUSH◄ AND HAND WASH:
Each rug is individually hand washed in water using cleaning agents specific to each rug’s condition. Controlled washing procedures remove soil, stains and odor causing residues. Migration of un-stable color is managed. Existing color run can be removed. Urine and odor removal products are utilized as needed during the wash process.Traditional wash floors rely on water pressure and gravity to flush the rug’s foundation fibers. Ripley’s Rug Revival System™ adds a unique process that pulls cleaning solution through the rug’s fibers and foundation in a jacuzzi-like bath producing decontamination levels proven 10 times more effective than a traditional flat wash alone. Rugs are flushed with water and rinsed completely. More delicate rugs that risk damage from immersion washing may be hand cleaned to produce the safest cleaning result. - WATER EXTRACTION
Water is speed extracted utilizing high powered vacuum systems and specialty extraction tools leaving the rug barely damp. - FRINGE DETAIL AND NAP SETTING
Fringe is detailed and additional cleaning and grooming is performed as needed. The nap is groomed and set for proper drying. - POST-TREATMENTS
Stainguards and Moth Treatments are applied and worked into the fibers to help protect rugs from future spots, spills and insect damage. - SPEED DRY
Rugs are air-dried, usually in a matter of hours utilizing forced air, heat and dehumidification. - POST-INSPECTION and GROOMING
Once fully dry, each rug is examined, vacuumed, and groomed to look it’s best.
Your rug is Revived, soft, fresh and 10 times cleaner than a traditional flat wash alone.
